Instrument Lessons begin soon!
Check your Google Classroom for your schedule!
Instrument lessons occur weekly. It is the student's responsibility to remember to bring his/her instrument to school, know what time the lesson occurs and communicate with the teacher of the class that is missed. Students are being taught at school to be independent in planning ahead for their day and communicating with their teachers. Teachers do not tell students when to come to lessons or approach each child about what work was missed and how to make it up.
Parents can help their child develop self-reliance by working with their child to set up a daily calendar at home with homework due dates, lesson & ensemble days, test dates, etc. In addition, try going over the upcoming day with your child before they leave for school in the morning. Finally, please leave forgotten instruments at home. It's OK if a child forgets an instrument for a lesson! Everyone experiences moments of forgetfulness and those moments become important life lessons that allow us to grow!
